There is è Used to indicate the existence in the singular:
E.g.1: There is a TV in the living room. à have a TV in the living room.
E.g.2: There is a TV and a DVD player in the living room. à have a TV and a DVD player in the living room.
There are è Used to indicate the existence in the plural or plural and singular:
E.g.1: There are TVs in the living room. -> have TVs in the living room.
E.g.1: There are TVs and a DVD player in the living room. -> have TVs and a DVD player in the living room.
